Springdale Holiday Shopping Guide

By Elisanne McCutchen, Springdale

By the time you read this, Halloween will be in the near past and the dreaded daylight savings time will be in the near future. We’ll have Thanksgiving to look forward to and then Springdale has plans to bring some brightness to the holiday season!

On Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m., the Town of Springdale invites you to the town park to kick off the holidays. First up will be the tree lighting! Then, set in the gazebo, Santa will be present for photos with the kiddies. Halona from Corner Cup will have special hot chocolate drinks available for purchase, which will be the perfect way to keep little hands and tummies warm. Those attending will also be offered the opportunity to enjoy a sleigh ride around the park, but it doesn’t end there!

After the tree lighting, we invite residents and visitors alike to enjoy Shine on Springdale! Residents have been encouraged to put out holiday lights to brighten up our small town. From east to west, and north to south, beautiful lights will shine through the dark night. It is the perfect way to celebrate the season’s beauty with your family in a relaxed, peaceful way. Drive, or even consider walking!

I don’t know about you but I think I’ll start the evening off at Corner Table with a sensational meal. Melinda has promised to have a special dish just for this night.

A tree lighting, Santa, hot cocoa, sleigh rides and Shine on Springdale! What a fabulous way to start your holiday season!
