Spokane Tribe Chewelah Casino Food Drive
Brought 2298 lbs. of Food and $5000 to
Loon Lake Food Bank
The Spokane Tribe Chewelah Casino reached out to Loon Lake Food Bank to coordinate a Food Drive to be held at the casino during November 2018. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our local communities, a total of 2,298 pounds of unperishable food was collected during the drive! The casino pledged to donate $1000 each time the barrel was filled. And on December 3, 2018, the casino presented three checks to Liz Bauer, new manager of Loon Lake Food Bank, totaling $5000.
In the spirit of giving, Chewelah Casino continued with a toy drive from December 1 – 20 2018, collecting toys for local underprivileged children ages 0-18. All collected toys went to Colville DCYS for local foster children. The casino also made cash donations to the Spokane Tribe Head Start and Department of Health and Services.
Thank you for making a difference in our local communities!
