The Loon Lake Historical Society Board has been dreaming of holding a Loon Lake community festival for three years. Our dreams were shattered in 2020 and 2021 as the event had to be cancelled due to COVID restrictions for events and, more specifically, museums. We believe we are finally free to proceed with the festival in 2022.
The Loon Lake Summer Festival will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Old School House at 4000 Colville Road in Loon Lake. It will be a family-friendly event.
This first annual festival will offer the Loon Lake community, and all of Stevens County, a venue to unite in fellowship. It will be a place where we can share common attitudes, interests, and goals in a festive manner for one day. The larger goal is to have that fellowship perpetuate and bring us together as a community the other 364 days of the year.
We are looking for community members and those outside of our community to make it a fun and festive day for everyone. We welcome the following groups to register to host booths and provide family-friendly entertainment:
Agencies: State, county, municipal, and local agencies that have information to share with our residents.
Associations: Property owners, beach, land conservancy, historical societies, and other associations.
Bands: Musical acts to audition for a
performance on stage. Must be family-friendly in content and appearance.
Classic Cars: Special vehicles the community would find interesting. Car area will be set up within the fence.
Performance Art: Stage performances that are not music such as poetry, dancing, etc. This will require auditioning.
Quilts: Quilt display in an area that may include fence display or rack display. If for sale, the $50 booth fee applies.
$50 per booth
• Artists: Artists and crafts people are invited to display their talents and skills.
• Food: Food vendors, food trucks, and coffee trucks are invited to sell food if they have their own food permits.
• Businesses: For profit-businesses of all types, family-friendly, are invited to promote their businesses.
Supplies and setup must be provided by vendors. Electricity will not be available. The Loon Lake Historical Society will supply the space for display. All structures, equipment, power, licenses, permits, and insurance must be secured by the vendor.
If you would like to be part of this community festival, please contact Deanne Darlene Impecoven at 509-863-6537 by phone or by text.
We look forward to meeting our community and creating lasting relationships that will enhance our friendships and goals!
