The roundabout in Loon Lake was fully opened on Monday, October 3. All detours have now been removed, and full access to Hwy 395 from both Hwy 292 and Gardenspot Road has been restored.
Over the next couple of weeks, the contractor will be adding final touches to the intersection (such as additional lighting and striping), and so you can expect occasional nighttime flagging in the roundabout.
According to WSDOT, paving work on Hwy 395 north of Loon Lake will be mostly completed by Friday, Oct. 7. However, there will be sporadic nighttime work on the highway through the end of October for rumble strip installation and striping. Lane closures and rolling slowdowns will be much more limited.
“As we get towards the end of the project, I would like to thank you all again for your support, cooperation, and patience,” said, Pete Corley, WSDOT.
