Junior Grange Returns to Hunters

By David Lewis

The Greenwood Park Grange #590 in Hunters is pleased to announce the return of the Junior Grangers Club. Several parents in the community a few months ago reached out to The Grange to see about reviving the junior grangers. With the help of Mick Schwartz, a long time member of the grange and his guidance and expertise, they were able to do just that.

There is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm in the community and the support so far has been wonderful. They are averaging 20 to 25 in attendance at every meeting and are planning their first major event. On June 3rd, they are having their first dance. It is a country theme with prizes for the best dressed and the best dancers. There will be food and drinks available for a nominal charge. The cost of the dance is $10.00 per person. Money generated from this event will help fund future events.

The junior grange meets at 3:30 PM on the second and fourth Sundays  of each month at the grange hall. The leaders encourage all parents to come to a meeting and become part of something absolutely worth involving your time in – the future of our children.
