Design the T-shirt for LoonsDay Fun Run

LoonsDay Press Release

Loon Lake, WA – Get ready for hundreds of feet pounding the pavement, with smiles and laughter echoing through the streets to the beautiful backdrop of Loon Lake!

The annual Loonsday 5-mile run/walk will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 with a start time of 9 a.m. The event will begin and end at the Historical Old Schoolhouse, 4000 Colville Road, in Loon Lake, WA.

Loonsday is a long standing, non-profit community event, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Loon Lake community. Loonsday awarded grants from the event’s 2023 proceeds to the Loon Lake Food Bank, Stevens County Fire District 1, The Loon Lake Conservancy, and Heroes Homestead.

Currently the Loonsday committee is accepting entries for the Loonsday T-shirt design contest. Design this year’s shirt and  win $100! Your design must include a loon or loons, the words “Loonsday 2024,” “41st Annual,” and “Loon Lake, WA.”  The design must use four or fewer colors. Beyond that, use your imagination! Send your design in jpeg format to Loonsday1@gmail.com and include your name and phone number in the email. Entries are due May 1. Sorry, no late entries will be accepted.

In addition to the T-shirt design contest, there are prize-winning opportunities on race day, June 1.

Prizes will be awarded to the first place finisher, as well as the largest family group that completes the course together, the best costume, and the oldest person to finish the course. Sign up sheets for the prize contests (other than the first place finisher) will be posted at the Schoolhouse on race day. You must sign up to be eligible to win.

You can pick up an entry form at 2Loons Distillery, the Loon Lake Library or the Loon Lake Post Office. Online entries can also be submitted on our website at Loonsday.com. Please like Loonsday on Facebook for additional information and more entry form locations as they become available.

If you are interested in volunteering the day of the event to hand out shirts, manage a water station (supplies are provided by Loonsday) or help in any other way, please email Trish at loonsday1@gmail.com.

See you there!
