Pre-registration for animal entries, fun run, parade and educational posters into the Valley Community Fair are due by August 1. Registration forms can be found in the back of the fair book or at https://valleycommunityfair.weebly.com/.
Fair Books can be found in Valley at The Valley Market, Dan and Jo’s, The Valley Station Square and at Valley Fuel; in Springdale at Kountry Korner; in Clayton at the Clayton Drive Inn; in Chewelah at Akers United Drug, Valley Drug; and in Colville at the Stevens County Extension Service.
All those who preregister by August 1 or bring items down to the Exhibit Hall on Friday, August 9 will automatically be entered in a special drawing to receive a $25 gift certificate from local Valley businesses (donated by the families of Ernie Franks in his memory).
Names will be drawn at 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. Exhibitors must be present to win. If you enter an item in the fair, stick around and see what you can win!
Don’t forget when you’re picking up your fair books to buy a ticket or two for the 87th Annual Ticket (aka “button“) Drawing. The top prize is $100 or an electronic device. There are also lots of miscellaneous prizes to be won when you stay for the drawing. Stick around to see what local business may have put in a bottle, envelope or even a brown paper bag! Tickets are just $1 each. The proceeds for the annual ticket drawing go toward the purchase of ribbons, trophies and the premium pay-outs for our youth entries at the fair. Please help support this year’s event.
